At Mainstream Fisheries we take pride in being one of the leading companies in the UK's fisheries and aquaculture industry. We have been trading for over 20 years and supply many other people in the trade. We provide a wide range of services such as Fish Farms, Coarse Fish, Stock Fish, Electro Fishing, and Aquatic Plant Supply.

We work for many of the large companies and government agencies. We have worked in Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland, South Africa, France, The Netherlands, Czech Republic and Italy.

We have obtained an impressive range of fishery contract services, including fish health checks, netting, stocking and fishery management consultancy.

We are the only site the in UK with an EA approved protocol to treat Cat2. Parasites. We also stock and supply a large amount of Coarse Fish.

Fish Farms

All our fish are kept to a high standard whether they are reared in the indoor rearing systems or cropped from the out ponds.

Aquatic Plant Supply

By introducing indigenous plants to reduce the nutrient level in the water and strategic planting of willows and alders to reduce the light around the pond.

Weed Control

Mainstream Fisheries have gained a wide range of experience in the removal of unwanted weeds, grasses and vegetation.

Water Quality Control

A full range of water and silt testing is available. Bacteria can be introduced to contain and remove pollution such as oil, etc. Normally after approximately 10 days the bacteria culture will have removed the oil or other pollutant.
